The events that followed the acquisition of the D&H by Guilford Transportation just a few years after these films were taken would result in the demise of the Delaware and Hudson Railroad as many once knew it.

In volume 2, we’ll revisit the busy operations of the Southern, RF&P, SCL and other railroads in Kentucky, Tennessee, Virginia and North Carolina in June of 1981.

Failing revenues forced the Lehigh & New England Railroad to cease operations in 1961. Volume 3 follows the transition from L&NE operations, into the Lehigh & New England Railway, Lehigh Valley, Conrail and now Norfolk Southern.

Filmed between 1954 and 1961, we’ll view operations in the cement belt from Bath to Martins Creek, including joint switching of the Northampton & Bath, Lackawanna and the Erie Lackawanna railroads.

At Kloten we get to see awesome action at one of Europe’s premier airports for aviation fans, featuring lots of great Swissair action.

At Vancouver we get to see lots of recently merged Air Canada/Canadian Airlines and their aircraft, including B727-200’s, A319’s, A320’s, B767’s, B747’s, and A340’s.

The Yamanote Line runs in a loop around Tokyo. A great way to see Tokyo!
