In Part 3 which was originally released in 2001, there are a variety of container ships in the 5 great lakes.

The boats that are shown in order are:

    1. Roger Blough that was built between 1968-1972

    2. Algosteel built in 1966

    3. Fred R. White Jr. that was built in 1978 as the footage was filmed in August of 1998

    4. James R. Barker built in 1976 as there is also an LS&I freight with Burlington Northern U-Boats in charge at the Marquette Ore Dock

    5. The American Republic built in 1981

    6. The Saginaw which was built in 1953 as the John J. Bolland

    7. Canadian Voyager which was built in 1962 as the Black Bay as it rolls under the Duluth Lift Bridge at night in October of 1999

    8. Joseph H. Franz that was built in 1925 as a steamer, but later converted to diesel power in 1965

    9. Algolake built in 1976

    10. Lee A. Tregurtha that was built in 1942 for the US Navy during WWII as it is waiting for a load of Taconite Pellets from the LS&I

    11. Catherine Desgagnes built in 1961

    12. Edwin H. Gott built in 1978 as it is leaving Two Harbors

    13. the Kasteelborg built in 1998 & it is still one of the newest ships during the time that the program was being made

    14. the Quebecois built in 1962 as it was filmed in December of 1996

And 15. the Canadian transport built in 1979 as it is seen with the wild waves on April Fool’s Day 1998 even though there is snow in town

The music in the opening & closing credits were also used in some vintage steam shows by Greg Scholl.
