This North Carolina Transportation Museum event is unlike any other – 26 streamlined locomotives traveled from throughout the United States to Spencer for four days of railfan delight! These classic locomotives from the 1930s through the 1950s take a spin on the turntable and line up for a rolling railfan parade. We even get nice top-down views from the top of the roundhouse. And N&W J Class #611 makes an appearance as well. The 611 is at Spencer for a full restore. This one-time event was held in 2014 from May 29th through June 1st. Two DVD Set.

It was just like being there (minus the sunburn). You can’t say this video doesn’t show enough of the diesels as each locomotive is shown on the turntable and running (or being pushed) past the camera. A must for any fan of 1st generation diesels or for those of us who were lucky enough to attend. Loved seeing the ceremony to kick off the restoration of 611. I wish there were separate chapters on the Blu-ray, but such are the ways of home made discs from smaller companies.

Received DVD version of this program. The DVD version still has no chapters, but you are able to fast forward/reverse these Discs. There are also two Discs, approx. 1hour each The program itself, is excellent very sharp and good angles. Music plays after brief narration. If you like First Generation Streamlined Diesels this is an excellent addition. N & W 611 is also presented. Go for the DVD version,

Received this program , today and I just can’t enjoy it, There are No Chapters and you Can’t Rewind Or Fast Forward, If you stop the program, It starts at the beginning, even if you pause. Poor technically. Don’t buy unless you sit and watch for Two Hours nonstop

This video is beautifully captured at one of the best railroad museums in the country. What a fantastic collection of streamliners gathered all at one time in this fantastic setting in North Carolina. This is a must have for all rail fans.
