This exciting program highlights their first 25 years of operation and features the diesel power eras of the Reserve Mining Company, Cyprus Northshore Mining and Cliffs Northshore Mining railroads.

The show’s NSM diesel power consists of: SW9, SW1200, SD9, SD18, SD28, GP9, GP40-2, SD40-2, SD40-3, SD9043MAC and GE ES44AC. We see rail yard switching, tailings trains and great ship loading scenes at the ore dock in Silver Bay that feature four Great Lakes ships including: Middletown, Reserve, Edgar Speer and the American Mariner. 1. Dan

A fascinating look at the evolution of a very distinctive railroad! Plets Express covers the entire NSM system with its usual top-notch videography, and just the right amount of background information about the railroad and it’s history, train operations and the geology and geography of the region. Northeastern Minnesota is a beautiful setting, and the ship loading scenes are especially interesting. Well done, Plets Express!
