Canadian Pacific in Saskatchewan

Here we have two shows with the Canadian Pacific in beautiful Saskatchewan. Our first outing takes us to the CP Transcon during the grain rush. We’ll railfan from Swift Current to the ghost town of Secretan. We begin with action on a new subdivision for us, the Maple Creek Sub. In between our end points we’ll see trains at Russ Lake, Herbert and Chaplain. As you’d expect on the Transcon, we see solid blocks of colorful container trains and solid blocks of colorful grain trains. Canada knows how to do grain cars!

Saskatchewan’s 4th largest city, Moose Jaw, is where we spend our second hour. We begin at Moose Jaw Yard. We’ll see quite a bit of interesting action here before we head out of the yard, as the trains do, onto the Canadian Pacific lines just outside of Moose Jaw. This is some rarely seen trackage.
