“A Day in the Woods” tracks North America’s unique logging heritage from earliest colonial days into the age of steam logging…and beyond. From the days before any machinery, before steam locomotives, before the Shay locomotive through the game-changer that was the Caterpillar 60 tractor and then to the trucks that put the nail in the coffin for locomotives in the forest.
