Winter Trains, 2019: Two Canadian National subdivisions, the shortline operator MobilGrain and the Canadian Pacific Holiday Train get attention in this December, 2019 railfan outing. First up is the Watrous Sub from near Perdue to just west of Saskatoon, then we visit the Rosetown sub near Delisle. Shortline MobilGrain is also featured. One Hour.

Later Winter, 2015: In the late winter and light snow of March and April of 2015 we ventured out to see what was running on three bits of track: Canadian National’s Watrous Sub and the Canadian National Rosetown Sub along with MobilGrain’s Big Sky Rail line. This is an area west of Saskatoon and south of Delisle in central Saskatchewan. It turn out there was a lot running. A little bit of snow doesn’t freeze freeze railroading on the Canadian prairie. We see a variety of power (including a unit still in BC Rail paint) on a variety of freights. One Hour.

Please note: This is a railfan production. There will be more zooms and less polish than you may be used to seeing. There will also be more unusual trains and places than we usually have available to see.
