Travel with Green Frog on the continuing saga of CSX in the Mid-west. Volume 9 takes us between Willard, Ohio and Deshler, Ohio…One of the busiest mainlines on CSX. This DVD is a great follow-up to our last production which covers action between Cumberland and Hyndman. In Volume 9 you’ll see the addition of a new main, an expansion addition to the yard at Willard, and contractors installing new track and new signaling systems, as well as action in the engine service facilities, including power being turned on the turntable. We’ll also catch action at Deshler where the old B&O crossed its own line, at one time considered ‘The Crossroads of America’. Now CSX crosses itself at the same location. We’ll visit a ‘hobo’ stew party at Deshler, and meet some locals who love the trains at Deshler. Learn about the history of this important town to the B&O and the state.

In Volume 9, we continue from where we left off in part 6 at Willard Ohio, this time we’re heading to the Hot Spot of Deshler.
Motive power is shown from SD40-2s & since been retired C30-7s to Dash 8-40CWs.
Aside from CSX, there are other road names like Soo Line, Conrail, Norfolk Southern, General Motors, HLCX, Canadian National, & Southern Pacific.
Locations include Willard Yard with a fully working turntable, some track work, & building a new signal bridge away from the yard, Attica Junction, Fostoria with Peck Road crossing near Tower F, Bloomdale with some switch track mantinence, Galitaya diamond, North Baltimore OH depot, & the hot spot of Deshler with Crossroads Park, the Bartlow Historical Society Museum, & historic stills & ads from the B&O & Chessie System years including an article of a 1974 accident at the diamond, with some night scenes.
This volume of the Green Frog CSX series is a nice companion to some of the late Greg Scholl titles: Ohio Rail Diamonds, Deshler Mainline Crossroads, & Return to Deshler.
