This 2-in-1 combo DVD was originally produced by an out of business Canadian Video Company called Rail Innovations with Narration provided by Steve Bradley.

In the Rails Wires & Pantographs segment of this combo there are lots of electric engines through the 8mm films of Mr. W.D. Short on the Milwaukee Road in April of 1974, Canadian National with a wedge Snowplow in the winter as well as Class Z4A Boxcab 6714 in revenue service, Amtrak with former Pennsylvania Railroad GG1s in September 1977, the NJT with former Erie Lackawanna Commuter cars & another Pennsy GG1 number 4877 “Old Big Red” in October of 1981, & the South Shore Line in the early 1970s with all 3 Little Joes & Interurbans, at locations like Cobden MT, Drexel, Avery ID, Montreal QC, Val Royal, Mt. Royal, Perryville MD, Gladstone NJ, South Amboy, Street Running at Michigan City IN, Chicago’s Randolph Street Station, & Hammond.

In the Toronto Union: Trains & Towers portion of this combo DVD that was originally released in 1999, there are a parade of diesels in Downtown Toronto on VIA Rail, GO Transit Commuter, Canadian National, Amtrak, & Ontario Northland. Aside from the trains, as well as a look at Union Station built in 1927, there are visits to the operations center, towers, & even see what happened in the Winter, especially at night. Locations in the area include Scott Street with an interview from Signalman Derek Dewer, & John Leonardo, Cherry Street near Don Yard, John Street tower which is under the bridge near Bathurst North Yard, & Cabin D. Not to mention historic still images. Note the bell sound effect used as Toby’s bell in seasons 2 & 3 of Thomas & Friends.

While this combo DVD was one of the few RI titles to be acquired by Green Frog, most of the other titles were owned by the late Greg Scholl.
