There’s quite a variety of railroad river crossings in the Midwest. We begin with several crossings of the mighty Mississippi at St. Louis, Ft. Madison, Clinton and Hastings. Other river crossings include St. Croix River, Rock River, Spoon River, the Des Plaines River and Colorado River. And it is not just rivers, as we cross creeks and canals too.
Over 50 trains are shown, from Union Pacific, CNW, Santa Fe, Burlington Northern, Canadian National, CP Rail, Soo Line, SP and Burlington Northern. See all kinds of bridges!
This is vintage nineties footage, shot using nineties equipment. It is not as sharp as programs shot today. Still, these are interesting scenes, many not covered elsewhere, and the narration is informative and top notch.

Structures are an important part of railroads and this videos does an excellent job showing the bridges that trains cross on. Lots of trains, lots of class 1 companies, great scenery. Love the different variety of bridges seen in this video. It will be hard not to enjoy this.
