Hudson, Niagaras and Mohawks, Oh My! This is New York Central steam at its fastest and finest. From 1940s steam along the Hudson River to the last of steam around Bay City on the Michigan Central in 1954-55.
We take on Detroit and Toledo in 1955 with Hudsons on passenger trains. Cities along the Big Four Route in the 1940s and 1950s in Ohio are Delaware, Springfield and Dayton and they are served by Niagaras, Hudsons and Mohawks on passenger trains. We see Mohawks at stations and running fast plus we catch Mikados on freights.
Then, NYC’s last steam is at Cincinnati in 1956-57 with Mohawks, Mikados. You’ll visit the roundhouses at Cincinnati Union Terminal, Riverside Yard and L&N’s DeCoursey yard where the NYC was delivering transfer runs. Fantastic vintage film and authentic New York Central sound.
