We’ll visit rail operations in Pittsburgh, junction of the Monongahela and Allegheny Rivers, Rochester, New Castle, PA, Youngstown, Ravenna, Kent, Clinton, Greenwich, and finally Willard, Ohio. We’ll also visit Akron, Ohio, and make a short stop by the yard at Willard.

    More CSX diesel action in Volume 6, this time from the city of Pittsburgh Pennsylvania home of the PBS show: Mister Roger’s Neighborhood, Westbound to Willard Ohio during the fall of 1996.

    Motive power is shown from C40-8s, to the AC4400CWs.

    Other Road Names aside from CSX include Conrail, EMD Demonstration units, Buffalo & Pittsburgh on the Genesee & Wyoming, Amtrak, Chessie System, HLCX with a Norfolk Southern unit, Morrison Knudsen, & Seaboard.

    Locations include Downtown Pittsburgh with an incline railway, Glenn Willard, Montour Junction, Rochester over the Ohio River Bridge, Beaver Falls, New Castle Yard at West Pittsburg, Lowellville Ohio, Youngstown with a depot that is now a restaurant, a 2-4-2 parked on display, & an abandoned 3 story office from the Pittsburgh & Lake Erie, not to mention one GP30 referenced to a Southern Pacific 4-6-0 in Texas, Niles, Lordstown, Newton Falls, SF Tower, Ravenna Ohio, Kent Falls, Cuyahoga Falls, Akron with a 2-6-2 on display near the Erie depot, Warwick Tower at Clinton with Dash 9-44CW number 9000, Rittman depot, Lodi, Sullivan, East Homer, Nova, Greenwich diamond, & Willard Yard with J Tower.

    Note the submarine in the opening scenes is referenced to a Rio Grande 2-8-2 on the Durango & Silverton in Colorado.
