From 1995 though 1998 Midwest Video Productions captured Conrail, CSX and Norfolk Southern trains across the upper slice of Indiana. This is where the mainlines from the East start to come together as they head into Chicago. This is all Conrail pre-merger footage and we will see some classic diesel power.
Locations include Porter Junction, Whiting, Ogden Dunes, Otis, La Porte, Hobart, South Bend, Elkhart, Spriggsboro and Fort Wayne. We’ll spend some time around the Elkhart and Fort Wayne yard areas and see mainline trains heading into and out of Chicago as well as locals and yard jobs.
This is vintage nineties footage, shot using nineties equipment. It is not as sharp as programs shot today. Still, these are interesting scenes, many not covered elsewhere, and the narration is informative and top notch.

You just dont see motive power like you did in these videos. A great time and brings back a lot of memories having grown up during the conrail split and seeing tons of Conrail power on NS and CSX. I recommend this video to any one.
