This 2018 program was the Very first time since Colorado’s Scenic Train Rides from 2000 to have Music By Mike Lynch who unfortunately Died in January of ‘18 Along with the Original GSVP Narrator John Edward Hingsbergen. Mike’s Scores from America By Rail The Heartland in 1994 was used for this program. These Trips would mark one of 611’s final mainline speed journeys Due to one of Amtrak’s worst President Dick Anderson creating the No Steam Giants Allowed Policy along with 4449, 765, 261, 3751, 630, 4501, Santa Fe 2926, C&O 2716, NC&STL 576 and of course 611. The informative narration from Les Jarrett himself is interesting as well as the sounds of the post WWII built J class northern itself.
