In high traffic lanes where work windows are short, Norfolk Southern deploys its “Tie and Surfacing Super Gang”. An army of skilled crew members equipped with high-production, very specialized machines are deployed; old worn out ties are replaced, correct track geometry is restored and rock ballast is properly contoured. In this program will show this process, identify the unique machines and the procedure to achieve these goals.

What others are saying

  1. 5 out of 5 Lots of great closeups

It’s like actually being there – except with subtitles! We get to see this very focused MOW crew do their job with an amazing amount of specialized equipment. All the equipment is named and detailed. I am very impressed with this new producer.

  2. 5 out of 5 Norfolk Southern Tie & Surfacing Super Gang #2

A must for a MOW fan. Excellent Video good close ups to see what each machine is doing. My only suggestion would be to change the color of the subtitles as I found them hard to read.
