New Jersey Transit F40PH Cab Ride, The North Jersey Coast

A “Head End” ride on a New Jersey Transit F40PH diesel push pull train from Bay Head Junction to Matawan, N.J. over the former N.Y. & L.B.R.R. through New Jersey’s scenic coast passing ” bridges, marinas, towns, and over ninety road crossings at grade (plenty of whistle action). Other N.J.T. trains are seen along the way. Narration referring to speed, stations, bridges, signals and track designation, as well as radio transmissions of train crews, block operators, and train dispatchers highlights the entire trip. We close with a few shots of the engineman at work on the return trip.
