This is one of, if not the best production made by Berkshire! There is honestly no reason why you shouldn’t have this video in your collection. This production starts off in Owosso, MI where the Pere Marquette 1225 is being prepped for the 1991 NRHS Convention, you then get to see the 1225’s crazy journey to Lima, OH where it meets up with the Nickel Plate Road 765. Then the 1225 & 765 doublehead to West Virginia, that’s where the production starts to follow Norfolk & Western 1218, for it’s part in the NRHS Convention. After the 1218 finishes it’s part in the Convention, the video crew catch up with the 1225 & 765 where they run side by side on CSX trackage, before doubleheading on the New River Gorge. I think you should just get the video and watch it yourself, my commentary won’t do it justice.

In the Berkshire Productions version of the entire 1991 NRHS convention, which is the final program they ever made before creator Grant Geist worked as a steam engineer on both the Great Smoky Mountains Railway & the now closed Ohio Central, 765, 1225, & 1218 operated on not only Special One-Way freight trains, but also carrying lots of passengers in & around the Huntington Area as well as Kenova West Virginia due to Norfolk Southern not having its tracks to go through the Convention Headquarters which is also the western end of the New River Gorge Line.

Aside from Berkshire Productions, there are also lots of familiar railroad video producers who attended the entire event In August of 1991: Pentrex, Greg Scholl, Main Line Motion Pictures, Dave Goodheart, Mark 1 Video, & others.
