Hot Spot Eola

Eola Yard is the funnel Point for all of the Ex-Burlington Lines in and out of Chicago. East of Eola is BNSF’s Chicago Sub, northwest of the Aurora Sub and west is the Mendota Sub. We’ll see trains of the EJ&E, BNSF, UP, SP, Conrail, CN and GTW.

See the trains and hear all about them as well. The informative narration gives us a lot of information about each train, and we often get to hear the radio traffic too. Information includes locations covered and tips on the best place to railfan Eola.

This is vintage nineties footage, shot using nineties equipment. It is not as sharp as programs shot today. Still, these are interesting scenes, many not covered elsewhere, and the narration is informative and top notch.
