The first section of video runs about 45 minutes. An additional 16 minutes of GM&O is included at the end which was originally shot on silent color 8mm film. See Alcos, F and E units, along with some more Modern Railroading power, also a 90 MPH cab ride! The film was mostly shot in the Bloomington area around 1970 give or take a couple of years. Pardon the dust and scratches from the original, along with some discoloration, but this is now footage from history that cannot be photographed today!

A REAL TREASURE!!! I’ve NEVER seen so much footage of the GM&O on any DVD or video. I loved watching every minute of this! The last 15-20 minutes is silent footage of the GM&O around Bloomington in the late 1960s with E units, F units and brand new SD40s on the Commonwealth Edison trains! Couple of early 1980s originally TP&W trains as well. Nice footage of the BRC Alcos and footage of the Keokuk Junction’s S2. Includes some action of the BN E units in commuter service as well!
