Cincinnati Shortlines, Part 5, Two Subdivisions of the Central Railroad Company of Indiana

Cincinnati, Ohio is home to a diverse group of shortline railroads. In Part 5 of the Cincinnati Shortlines series, we’ll cover the Central Railroad Company of Indiana, and the road’s CIND & Brookville Subs. The CIND Sub, a former New York Central Big Four route, connects Cincinnati & Indianapolis.

In this program we’ll see primarily freight traffic between Cincinnati and the Honda plant in Greensburg, Indiana. Passenger trains operated by the Cincinnati Railway also make an appearance. We conclude with a trip aboard an Ohio Rail Experience excursion along River Road, and a climb up Guilford Hill.
