Amtrak, 1994 to 1997

On board, in cab and trackside, we get to see all the action! We will cross the Mississippi River on an open platform car and see switching at our destinations. We’ll see the scenery as we travel Amtrak throughout 1994 to 1997 on routes in Illinois, Iowa, Indiana, Missouri and Colorado. Nearly every Amtrak train in and out of Chicago is covered.

The narration is informative and many of the views can only be seen from a train as we look at Amtrak’s operations in the mid-nineties in a unique way.

This is vintage mid-nineties footage, shot using nineties equipment. It is not as sharp as programs shot today. Still, these are interesting scenes, many not covered elsewhere, and the narration is informative and top notch.
