Norfolk Southern Freights, The East End & Atlanta North

(Disc 1) East End District Travel with Green Frog on the Norfolk Southern line from Irondale, Alabama to Austell, Georgia, outside of Atlanta. The East End District is a busy line, a part of the Alabama Division. Besides a generous amount of freight traffic this 148 mile district also hosts Amtrak’s Crescent, the passenger service between New Orleans and New York.

(Disc-2) Atlanta North District See Heritage Units, a welded rail work train, tons of Norfolk Southern freights including bridge shots, mixed freights, auto trains, double stacks and foreign power – including UP, KCS and BNSF. See the eastbound Crescent entering Peachtree Station and crossing the Chattahoochee Bridge. We follow this line into Tennessee where we see trains entering and leaving Debutts Yard with some switching and we get a quick stop at the Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum.
