75 years after the “Doolittle Raid” in 1941, 12 B-25’s staged a visit to Dayton, Ohio. We’ll see 8 of the 12 aircraft flying during the day. You will see all different models of the twin-engine aircraft that are considered to be some of the best sounding radial engines of this time period. We will see a regular B-25, a B-25D, a rare B-25H, several B-25J, and a couple PBJ aircraft in Naval or Marine livery. We’re there when 11 of these aircraft took off – one every 5 minutes roared down past us and headed south into the morning sky. What a sight to see all these aircraft starting engines and lined up for their turn. Here is a list of the 12 we get to see flying: Miss Hap, Yankee Warrior, Miss Mitchell, God and Country, Betty’s Dream, Show Me, Panchito, Devil Dog, Semper Fi, Champaign Gal, Barbi III and Georgie’s Gal.

In April of 2017, Greg returned to Grimes Field at Urbana Ohio this time for a huge variety of the B-25 aircraft carriers including Georgie’s Gal, Show Me (with a number on the tailfin referenced to a Chicago & Northwestern R-1 Class 4-6-0 10-Wheeler in North Freedom Wisconsin), God & Country, Panchito, Miss Mitchell, The Barbie 3, Semper Fi, Yankee Warrior, Devil Dog, Betty’s Dream, Champaigne Gal, & Miss Hap.
Here’s the segments that appear in order:
1. Easter Sunday April 16, 2017 which when the wind is making too much noise, a musical background is added in different
parts.
2. The Following Monday April 17, 2017 with all 12 planes in action heading to Dayton from Urbana as well as they leave town about 5 minutes apart.
3. August 2016 coverage with Tondelayo in Valparaiso Indiana which was made during production of Greg’s 2017 titles: A Rare B-24 Bomber, & B-17 Time.
And 4. Axis Nightmare at the Tri-State Warbird Museum near Greg’s studio in Batavia in 2015.
Like many of Greg’s 2018 titles minus the original 1988 editing of Cotton Belt 819 Arkansas Steam, & the Un-narrated Return to Deshler in July & August of 2014, this was narrated by Chris Kovacs.
