It’s the final 6 years of the BN, from 1990 to 1996, as seen from five major locations around the system. The Chicago area at Highlands and LaGrange, at Birmingham, Missouri, near Kansas City, then along the old Great Northern in the Minot area and in the Sand Hills of Nebraska, and finally along the former CB&Q at Ottumwa and Mt Pleasant, Iowa.
The numerous freight yards and rail lines criss crossing Kansas City form the second largest rail hub in the United States. With nonstop action across the metro area, this city is every railfan’s dream!
