The Yolo Shortline is both a working freight railroad and an excursion railroad. Machines of Iron traveled along on one of Yolo’s train and cruise excursions. Visitors board the train behind a former Southern Pacific steam locomotive for a trip through the beautiful Sacramento Valley. A train robbery is staged for the passengers and a great time is had by all. Those who desire can then board a steamboat traveling on the Sacramento River and enjoy a good meal and onboard entertainment.
