In 1993 Amtrak tested a high speed trainset from Denmark known as the X2000. The purpose was to develop a standard for the train we now know as the Acela Express. This program features an exciting cab X2000 ride up the Northeast Corridor reaching speeds of 135 m.p.h. See the departure from Washington and then ride on-board in the right hand seat through Wilmington, Philadelphia, Zoo Tower, Newark, and arrival at Penn Station. The X2000 was built in Sweden and used extensively by the Swedish National Railways. Although tested in several other countries, no other country used the train set in extended daily service.

High speed rail does’nt compare with the bullet trains of Toyko, Japan. This film was a little disappointing to me, not enough action, yes you reach speeds of 140 mph and yes you see great scenery. Very little narration in this one and not very much on screen information. Only 2 stars.

This is a good cab ride – and in a unique engine that has unique abilities. I do wish there was more narration. But, as a cab ride, it is exactly as advertised. 🙂

There are a lot of good cab ride videos on the market. This is not one of them. Purchased with the hopes of learning more about the X2000… that did not happen. Narration is poor, and little screen graphics to assist. Yes….. there is the tracks ahead which cab rides are about, but I would not recommend it . Disappointing.
