SKU: DVD-CBP-VEL1Original price was: $29.95.$24.95Current price is: $24.95.
Like spokes on a wheel, 4 major railroads converged on Marion, Ohio from 5 directions. For the NYC, C&O and Pennsylvania to cross at one location would assure a busy junction – but add the Erie Lackawanna with its major yard and locomotive shop – and Marion is elevated to a train watching mecca. Part One of this two part look at the “Friendly Service Route” takes place in the busy 1960s.

In Part One of this two part look at the “Friendly Service Route”, we visit Marion during the 1960’s, with a look at the other 3 railroads which all crossed at Marion’s Union Station. The EL’s eclectic roster of PA units and E- and F- units, RS3s, Geeps and SDs are seen in many different lashups, on many types of trains. Don’t miss one of the sharpest paint-schemes in the east, on one of the most charismatic railroads ever.
Aw –
After seeing Conrail Conclusions, had to pick this up. It’s much like the AC Tower Marion videos. This is one of those. I think Clear Block Productions was one of the best producers on the market. It is a shame that he didn’t get to produce more videos.
