It’s the 1970’s era of the BN in Washington and Montana, as well as pre-merger views of the Burlington, Northern Pacific, and Great Northern with pre-merger CB&Q, NP and GN in the Twin Cities, Montana and Nebraska.
Ken Bealer travelled to Washington in 1979 searching for F-units and ALCo’s, and also found GP30’s, SD40’s and SD45’s, and trains of the Milwaukee, Union Pacific, Weyerhaeuser Lumber, and electrics on the Yakima Valley Transit. GN, NP and SP&S territory is covered with many scenes featuring live audio recorded on the scene. EMD covered wagon fans and passenger train fans are in for a special treat, as varnish of the Q, NP, GN and Amtrak are also featured.
Parts 1 and 2 of this series looks at the last 6 years of the BN prior to the BNSF merger.
