Join us for a trip back to the mid-1960s as Emery Gulash and his 16mm movie camera cover the south end of the Ann Arbor Railroad from Owosso to Toledo. Locations include the Owosso Shops and Yard, Durand, Howell, Ann Pere, the Huron River Bridge and Ferry Yard in Ann Arbor, Milan, Dundee, and Manhattan Tower in Toledo. The Annie’s ALCo switchers are seen, along with the then-newly delivered EMD GP-35s, but most of the program is of the road’s Alco FA-2s in their handsome Wabash Railroad-inspired paint. Classic Covered Wagons, seen trackside and in pacing sequences. Also of interest are the freight cars of the era which are featured in many scenes. Along the way at Ann Arbor, Milan and Toledo, you’ll also see trains of the Annie’s connections New York Central, Wabash, and Pennsylvania.
