This is the Union Pacific’s busy former Southern Pacific “Sunset Route” across Arizona. We begin our look at this scenic line at Wilcox on the Lordsburg Sub and end up at sunset at Mohawk on the Yuma Sub. Double tracking along this line is in progress as we follow the trains, but there are still some searchlight signals left. You’ll see stack trains, DPUs, manifests and grain trains – from the mountain to the desert.
Narration can be turned off and on. Dolby Audio.

High density railroading at its best! Today, the Sunset Route is the domain of the Union Pacific, but there are still plenty of signs of predecessor Southern Pacific. Expect Highball’s usual top-quality videography, with a nice mix of trackside shots and panoramic views that capture the vastness of the terrain. There’s just the right amount of informative narration, but you might be tempted to turn it off and just enjoy the sound of hard-working trains pounding across Arizona’s varied and beautiful landscape. This is big-time railroading, and a nice addition to any collection.

Well here again is another great, great dvd by highball productions. Every shot is so clear and beautiful on this blue ray disc. Great narration about this rail line and how it is run. Great scenery and in your face action. You have the option to turn the sound on or off. Another 5 star dvd from Highball Production.
Mojave Narrows –
This video exceeded my expectations. Every shot is professionally done with crystal clear trains and beautiful scenery. The blu-ray quality is phenomenal as well. The narrator is professional and does not interfere too much, Plus there is an option to completely turn off narration
