Union Pacific Odyssey Volume 1
From 1952 through 1980, Emery Gulash chased the Union Pacific through its sparkling history. Follow Emery and his Bolex cameras through the end of steam and into the first generation diesel era.

Union Pacific Odyssey Volume 2Emery covers the 60s and 70s. You will see more first generation diesels, ‘City’ trains, New second generation diesels, more Big Blows (turbines), the Centennial locomotives, and DD-35’s, as well as many other Classic diesels. The Golden Spike Centennial at Promontory Point in 1969 is prominently covered including special trains from parts of the U.S. which converged on the scene for the reenactment. Many of those trains were pulled by steam!

Union Pacific Super Railroad Volume 1
We begin in western Illinois, later we follow the tracks along the old Lincoln Highway (route 30) and then take you along the UP route all the way to Cheyenne, Wyoming. Fast paced action, multiple train meets and a trip into Bailey Yard where you visit a hump tower, take a tour around the engine service facilities, and get a birds eye view of the yard from one of the towers as well as from the ground.

Union Pacific Super Railroad Volume 2
We first take you to the coal fields north of Cheyenne, including Bill, Wyoming, where a continuously full yard of complete coal trains boggles the mind as they wait for clearance to there respective mines. You’ll visit some of the mines in the Powder River Coal Basin, and catch the long trains working their way to and from the mines. Then we’ll follow the UP to Sherman Hill, including the Hermosa tunnels.

Union Pacific Super Railroad Volume 3
The Mountains and valleys in southern Montana and northern Idaho provide a particularly beautiful setting for the Union Pacific’s Montana Subdivision. You’ll have the opportunity to chase a freight all the way from Silver Bow (the UP’s terminal in Butte, Montana) to near Pocatello, Idaho. If you like train meets, beautiful mountain scenery, and plenty of action…then you will love this fantastic video!

Union Pacific Super Railroad Volume 4
One of the West’s busiest mainlines is the Union Pacific’s Oregon Short Line through the broad plains and lush valleys of beautiful southern Idaho. Watch fast intermodal and perishable trains weave their way around heavy merchandise and unit trains on this single track line. West of Pocatello, UP is testing Distributed Power, putting unmanned locomotives at the rear of many long freights to improve train handling. Centennial #6936 puts in a guest appearance.

Union Pacific Super Railroad Volume 5
Here is continuing action from our very popular series Union Pacific Super Railroad. Volume 5 takes you over the LaGrande Sub from Weiser through the Blue Mountains, Durkee Horseshoe, Telocaset Hill, and the Blue Mountain Grade… all the way to Portland, Oregon…this is really spectacular action. You’ll see more distributed power, Amtrak, Pig Trains, Soda Ash, and the usual heavy freight. You’ll even see action with the Burlington Northern at the Columbia River crossing where both railroads meet.

The Best of Union Pacific Super Railroad
90 minutes of the best action, the fastest trains, the heaviest hauls and the meets that you’ll remember. You’ll see mountain railroading, helper service, fast freights, cab ride, coal fields, yard action and more!

So many excellent films in one awesome collection! Great tour of the UP system! Excellent scenes of early diesel power, UP 8444, and the Golden Spike Centennial! And then some! Lots of action you won’t want to miss! Emery Gulash and Green Frog Productions really knock it out of the park with this one!
