  1. Dan

This is a great companion to the first volume in the two-part series on the Twin Ports, which looked at railroad operations around Duluth, Minnesota. And the visit to Superior, Wisconsin … like volume one … has something for everyone: road freights, yard switching, transfers, fallen flags, steam trains, loading docks, Great Lakes ships and more, all set against the beauty of Lake Superior. Plets Express’ camerawork is always solid and creative, and there’s just the right amount of narration to add to your understanding of the train operations and the history and geography of the region. These are two of the best from Plets Express, and nice additions to any collection.
