Green Frog takes you on another spectacular trip through the Pacific Northwest, past the snow capped peaks of America’s portion of the Pacific Rim. We start this journey in Klamath Falls, Oregon and head south into California along the base of beautiful snow capped Mt. Shasta and then through towns at its base like Weed, Shasta City, McCloud, Dunsmuir, then through the beautiful Trinity Alps area, crossing creeks, streams, and the Sacramento River.

The rails follow the white water river down to Lake Shasta. Next over the Salt Creek Trestle and then down to Redding, California where we will watch trains traverse the west’s largest trestle, spanning the Sacramento River Valley.

Originally released in 2005, this program covers a comprehensive mix of great diesel action in Northern California & Southern Oregon with not only Union Pacific, but also other road names like Canadian National, Southern Pacific, Amtrak’s Coast Starlight with one of the genesis units referenced to a Jersey Central 0-6-0 in Pennsylvania, Rio Grande, Central Oregon & Pacific Shortline, Chicago & Northwestern, a pair of Electro-Motive Division SD70M demonstration units, & MKCX.

Locations include Midland which is south of Klamath Falls Oregon, Warden, Dorris California near the state line tunnel, Cougar with Mt. Shasta in the background, Lava cut, Dry Canyon Viaduct north of Hotland, Weed, Shasta City, the Pioneer S Curve, Cantera Loop, Siskiyou Lake, McCloud (with a mention of the town’s namesake railroad itself), Dunsmuir, Soda Creek (with 2 scenes of the exact same train led by UP SD40-2 3782, UP C40-8 9231, UP SD40-2 3299, & SP 7481), the Trinity Alps, Castella Loop near the Sacramento River, Gibson Bridge, Delta near LaMoine, Salt Creek Trestle at Shasta Lake, & ends at the Redding trestle.

Most of these scenes were captured during June of 2004 as well as a flashback to 2001.
