The Greatest Show on Earth, The Transcon

If you like to see the high cars rolling at speed, there is no better place on this continent than to be alongside Burlington Northern Santa Fe’s main line between Chicago and Los Angeles – the Transcon, in the Texas Panhandle. The number of trains on this line has reached historic numbers, as many as 80 a day, and BNSF recently completed adding a second track to this line. This video shows over twenty four hours of incredible action on BNSF’s Hereford Subdivision between Amarillo and Clovis in May of 2003.
