When this was shot, just after the Burlington Northern & Santa Fe merger, Warbonnets still ruled on the Seligman Sub. Sure, the BNSF merger shows, but there are still lots of units wearing one of the best looking paint schemes ever. The new 700 series GEs are out in force. There’s some new “Heritage” paint, and not only on C44’s! There are some solid sets of Cascade Green, but not a lot of blue and yellow. This is impressive, heavy duty main line railroading at its best, with howling, high speed double stacks, and long manifests dragging up-grade.

BNSF’s Heritage paint was making its debut and … together with Warbonnets and Cascade Green … it makes for some exciting train watching! All the great locations along the Seligman Sub, preserved by Highball Productions’ usual top-notch videography. Like a great day of railfanning, much of the fun is in anticipating what’s coming next, and this program doesn’t disappoint.
