Steam & Diesel on the NKP, Volume 1

See the legendary Nickel Plate Berkshires in fast paced action as we find and follow these Lima-built 2-8-4 steam locomotives. And occasionally an ALCo built Berkshire too! This is the first volume of a 4 volume series of film shot in the 1950s by Don Krofta along the Nickel Plate in Ohio and Pennsylvania. This is all taken from crisp 16mm film.

Besides the famous Berks we will see Mikados and diesels, such as ALCo and EMD products let loose by management as steam was retired. This is the NKP West End at the end of steam.
