The “Royal Gorge Steam Special” was the last steam passenger train to operate over Tennessee Pass and through the 1000 foot deep Royal Gorge. The Tennessee Pass line has since been closed by the Union Pacific. This trip takes you over Tennessee Pass, through the Royal Gorge, and across Soldier Summit. Valhalla Video Productions was selected by the Central Coast Chapter of the National Railway Historical Society to produce this video. Valhalla had 5 camera crews on board and trackside capturing this exceptional trip through Colorado. Includes historic footage of D&RGW passenger trains in the Gorge.
