The Winter from December 2010 to March/April 2011 has perhaps one of the worst snowstorms the US has ever witnessed, but deep in the Sierra Nevada Mountains (mostly on the former Southern Pacific Mainline between Roseville California & Reno Nevada), there are lots & lots of deep snow to be removed from the tracks for more than 24 hours, from flangers & Jordan Spreaders, to the Mighty Steam-Powered Rotary Snowplows.

On the Rescue train, one of the Union Pacific’s SD70ACEs number 8444 (reference to 4-8-4 Northern 844’s alternate identity from 1962 to 1989) is on the consist of the plow train.

Besides the Trackside action as well as appropriate music & narrative detail from Dave Drui, there are also lots of Radio Communications, as well as Go-Pro footage from the Plow Trains, not to mention lots of interviews with the people working on the railroad.

While the trains play a huge role on removing snow through Donner Pass, there are also some Construction Machines hard at work on the Mountains as well.

This is an Amazing Companion to the other Winter on Donner Pass titles from Video Rails, to Pentrex, & of course Donner Rails.
