Reflections of the New York Central, Volume 1

These are the much-talked about 16mm films of John Prophet, with added 16mm action from Dick Baldwin and others. We’ll see – up close – New York Central steam locomotives scooping water from water pans between the rails. We’ll pace Niagaras on the Empire State Express and another train out of Englewood.

Go for a cab ride on Hudson 5415 on the James Whitcomb Riley and watch as Mohawks and Hudsons roar across Indiana. Follow a branch line Mikado-hauled local freight and see the change from steam to diesel in the 1950s… then witness the coming of second generation diesels and flexi-vans. This is fantastic late 1950s action on the NYC that every fan of the line should have.
