Great C&O action during the 1940s on into the 1970s. We’ll see steam and diesel heading up passenger and freight trains out of Louisville, Lexington and Ashland, Kentucky. We also visit the Logan Subdivision with steam at Peach Creek, and Logan, West Virginia in 1955.
The C&O has quite a range of steam and we see several classes of steam power in service. Watch a Hudson at Cincinnati, Kanawha #2716 at the Kentucky Railway Museum and on a fan trip, plus NKP 765 dressed as C&O Kanawha 2765 on CSX rails in the 1990s on excursion duty. What we have here is a lot of rare film, and maps of the locations.
