See ALCO, actually MLW (Montreal Locomotive Works), on passenger and freight trains in New South Wales in Australia. This is another excellent program from Rowlingstock productions of Australia. The program looks at all classes of ALCOs, generally in the order in which they were introduced. The first entered service in 1951 and we’ll get some vintage views through 8mm film, some 16mm film. This program includes the 44 class that look like PA’s, signal box interiors, multiple unit consists and helpers in the Great Dividing Range and the Blue Mountains.

Alco Heaven, Down Under…. What a great look at old Alcos in daily use pulling passenger & long freights in scenic Australia. I really enjoy this video and will watch many times over. The long coal drags with several pushers is worth the purchase alone to see it. Alco fans espescially will enjoy this, as well as scenery and history fans. An excellent decision made in this purchase.
