Join us for 7 days of railfanning on The CP, CN, and BCR in Southwest British Columbia. This is a memorable railfan trip. Every train has a caboose. CP & CN stick to their own sides of the Fraser & Thompson River canyons and the BCR was still running lots of big ALCO / MLW units. The Royal Hudson Steam excursion was in full service, too. All video in this program has been digitally enhanced and re-mastered.

A bygone era of railroading in perhaps the most breathtaking trainwatching location in North America. Paint schemes and consists from a generation ago, cabooses, steam, fascinating operations … and stunning scenery everywhere you look.
The video quality is remarkably good, especially considering its age. This program is priceless for its historic and nostalgic significance, and deserves a spot in every railfan’s video library.

Pre-CN ownership days of BC Rail was exciting, and the producer does a wonderful job presenting it to us. The Royal Hudson in excursion glory, VIA Rail Canada in the old blue pulled by F7s/F9s. Alcos living up to their name as power horses. CN & CP running on their own lines. Scenery that is remarkable and almost unbelievable for beauty. This video is tops. Not many videos of the region will ever compare to the awesome work put into this video and it’s making. And now as so much has changed….. History is preserved for us to remember for many years to come.
