This is Norfolk & Western Ry steam in action between 1954 and 1958 plus Virginian action in 1954. This is Pocahontas Glory, Volume 8! Locations for our steam sojourn include Princeton West Virginia on the Virginian, then on the N&W it’s Columbus Ohio , Bristol Virginia/Tennessee, Abingdon Virginia, West Jefferson North Carolina, Bluefield West Virginia then, all in Virginia: Christiansburg, Roanoke, Blue Ridge, Norton and Crewe.

We get to see a full line of the N&W and Virginian steam, with classes A, Y, J, K1, K2, M, S1, S1a and P represented, and in regular service. We also see steam on special excursions for the 1957 NRHS Convention and the Farewell to Steam on the Norton Line in excursion in 1957. Fantastic film of arguably the premier steam railroad in the country.
