During this period, February to July 2015, trains are run only as needed. Most traffic is generated by a rail to truck transfer customer situated on “WS Lee” siding near McAdenville. NCDOT has approved a lease agreement with Iowa Pacific Holdings to operate Piedmont & Northern rail service. Program highlights include: Over 60 train runbys. Stored AEX owned locomotives moved off line. New inbound business from NS in Gastonia opens that end of the line to more frequent runs. New operator inspects the property and the last day of Patriot Rail operations, July 30, 2015.
