Pennsy’s Racetrack, The Northeast Corridor

Review 40 years of history on the northeast corridor! The years 1940 to 1980 were exciting – and full of change. We’ll review the Pennsy electrics that raced up and down this busy corridor. See P5As, E44s and of course the massive and much-loved GG1 electrics. The GG1 units were survivors, so we’ll see them in action first on the Pennsy, then on the Penn Central, then on Conrail and then, finally with Amtrak.

Get ready for rush hour with Commuters on MP54s and newer cars. See the original Metroliners. And, It’s not all Pennsy as we see bit players on the NEC’s Southern end with the Atlantic Coast Line, Seaboard Air Line, Southern Railway and the C&O.
