Yet more changes for railroads in the Northeast. We caught action from Iron Road Railway’s Bangor & Aroostook, and Canadian American RR’s. We also visited The Saint Lawrence and Atlantic, where CN MLW were found once again. In Massachusetts, we filmed action on the P & W and others. Even the short line Grafton & Upton was seen in a rare and perhaps last moment! No change in the Northeast was bigger than the end of Conrail, and you’ll see trains before and after its takeover date. Finally, we add video of several other Northeast lines, including GRS, NECR, The New Brunswick Southern, and the Mass Central.
Narration, Stereo.

A great addition to Broken Knuckle’s very nice “Northeast Rails” series. The videography is well done, the picture quality is excellent, and … now that some of the footage is more than 25 years old … there are many scenes that can never be recreated. This is a top-notch series, and … as a set or individually … these programs deserve a place in any railfan video library.
