Join T&W Productions for a trip to Pokey Country! This railfan trip into the Pocahontas District covers action in and near Bluefield in late 2010. We’ll see heavy modern diesels pulling long freight, intermodal and, of course, coal trains along the Pocahontas District. NS power is featured, but we’ll also see run-through power. The action is centered around Bluefield and includes some yard action too.

The Pokey and the Bluefield area are on the “must see” lists of many railfans. Until you get there (or to help plan your trip), this is a fine alternative! Lots of coal traffic as you might expect, with mixed freights and intermodals to keep it interesting … with some of Norfolk Southern’s biggest power working the line. Video quality is very good, camera locations are creative, and T&W clearly knows the region and the railroad. A nice addition to any railfan video library.
