Oakdale, Tennessee is located on Norfolk Southern’s famous subsidiary, the CNO&TP. This program covers the 25 mile segment of the line between Lancing and Rockwood in Tennessee. Oakdale, at the center of that portion of the line, is a crew change point and is regarded as the Southern end of the infamous “Rathole”.
Double Stack and Manifest trains are documented, along with Auto Rack, Grain Trains and an amazing solid train of new Caterpillar earthmovers. There is also a special locomotive lash-up at the end of the program.

The kind of video that causes railfans to add a new location to their “must visit” list, with high-horsepower locomotives, interesting consists and plenty of surprises! The videography and editing are solid, and the trains sound as good as they look. As with other R-Line videos, there’s no narration, but on-screen graphics provide train, date and location information. Until you get to Oakdale in person, this is a fine substitute.

A new Producer for me and certainly will buy more from this Producer.

This was a new producer for me, and a new hot spot location. I enjoyed the program. There was a lot of on-screen graphics, but could have used some narration. Having said that, the videography is excellent and the choice of material suburb.
