Join with Green Frog’s crews as we continue our extremely popular CSX series. Volume 3 takes you through the rolling hills and mountains of Tennessee and Kentucky with spectacular, fast paced action. Besides tremendous action along the CSX main, you’ll also visit two ex-L&N branch lines. We’ll take you to the R.J. Corman Railroad where brightly painted GP-9’s and CF-7’s can be found. Then the Frog cameras will visit the 11 mile long Kentucky Railroad Museum, where an ex-L&N 4-6-2 shows off its stuff with a string of ex-L&N passenger cars in scenes reminiscent of the 40’s. The CSX portion provides immense action with fast and varied car groupings in many trains. You’ll see stealth units, yellow faced engines, and some old Seaboard locomotives as well. And the Frog will provide some excellent history of the line famous for its Civil War battles and restored buildings along the right of way.

In volume 3 there is even more great diesel action on CSX this time from where we left off in volume 2 at Nashville Tennessee heading westbound to Louisville Kentucky.
Motive power is shown from SD40-2s to C40-8s.
Locations include Nadler Yard, Hendersonville, Daytona, Galiton, the C&N Branch with some pacing, Buck Lodge, Franklin, Rich Pond, Memphis Junction KY, Rockfield, South Union, Auburn, Russellville, Bowling Green, Milepost 112, Cave City, Horse cave which is the site of the abandoned Mammoth Cave Inn Hotel & the nearby American Cave Museum, Munfordville at Ft. Craig, Ledgefield Crossing, Dividing Ridge, Glendale KY, Gathers, Elizabethtown, Coalsburg, Boothe, Lebanon Junction, New Haven (Not Connecticut), Nelsonville, Bardstown Junction, Gap And Knot, Shepherdsville, Coral Ridge, & Osbourne Yard at South Park (referenced to a Comedy Central show) near Louisville.
Aside from CSX, there are other road names like Seaboard with one SW1000 referenced to a Southern Pacific 0-6-0 on the Yolo Shortline in California, Conrail, RJ Corman, Chessie System, Union Pacific, Louisville & Nashville, Guilford, & even a visit to the Kentucky Railway Museum with L&N 4-6-2 number 152 from both the cab & alongside the line with pacing, that also has Santa Fe CF7 number 2546 on the rear.
