This could be called the MRL SD70ACe show! Most of the trains, except locals, are headed up by MRL’s new diesels. This video was shot in late April 2007 between Livingston, MT and Elliston, west of Mullan Pass. Features MRL’s new SD70ACe’s in both road and helper service, plus BNSF run through trains. BNSF trains feature just about any power BNSF had – including warbonnets. You’ll see heavy action on Bozeman Hill and over Mullan Pass to Blossburg Tunnel.
The narration can be turned on or off.

I bought this DVD to see some of the SD70AC units in action and the MRL is one of my personal favorites. There are plenty here. Living in Utah, I used to frequently visit southwestern Montana but due to work, I have not had the chance, yet, to see the 70’s in person.
This DVD starts on the western side of Bozeman Hill and heads west to Mullen Pass with plenty of MRL and BNSF trains, some with colourful lashups . Wish it went further, but I will purchase another. Well worth it. After watching, you’ll know why it’s known as Big Sky Country dueto awesome scenery and open spaces.

This is a great video of the Montana Rail Link in action. You also see some BNSF trains from time to time. Beautiful Montana scenery and very informative narration. Very enjoyable. Highly recommend.
